After its global launch in May, the new Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed has hit the streets. The vehicle is part of Mercedes’ ultra-exclusive Mythos line.

New images show the convertible during final tests on public roads. According to the tests, the PureSpeed’s range is about 3,000 km, but it’s worth noting that this is a modified AMG SL and not a full model.

Test drives are being conducted in northern Italy, and later, prototypes will be evaluated at the Nardo track by Porsche Engineering, a subsidiary of the company headquartered in Weissach, Germany.

As in the concept unveiled in May, the PureSpeed lacks a windshield and still features a “halo” inspired by Formula 1 cars and deflectors at the front and sides, proving that this line’s focus is on aerodynamics.
